Bust of Dionysus

This portrait is a cropped bust from an overall full-figure work of the 2nd Century AD housed in The Louvre, Paris (Ma87 m2).

Until recently, this cast was named ‘Bust of a Female’, perhaps due to the wine God’s adrogynous appearance.

Our figures are made by hand using high quality natural marble stone therefor each piece is unique and may slightly be different in shape and color.
