La Margherita del Goethe

Margherita, the young Goethe Faust heroine, is the pendant of the group of Nello della Pietre and Pia de ‘Tolomei, to emphasize the common literary inspiration that links the sculptures of Balzico to the characters of the historical Morellian paintings of the early sixties of’ eight hundred.

Balzico is dedicated to carving into marble female figures in the midst of true where academic purism combined with a delicate verism of forms and expression gives results close to an international troubadour past.

Our figures are made by hand using high quality natural marble stone therefor each piece is unique and may slightly be different in shape and color.
