Segoffin’s plaster model of La Danse Guerrière dates to 1903. The marble sculpture was commissioned to be part of the Palais de l’Elysée. It is now placed in the Museum d’Orsay.
The figure is inspired by the contemporary antique revival and more specifically in the antique inspired dance method of Isadora Duncan.
Our figures are made by hand using high quality natural marble stone therefor each piece is unique and may slightly be different in shape and color.
