Here Feugère des Forts sculpted the Biblical figure Abel while dying. Abel was the twin brother of Cain, both sons of Adam and Eve, he was killed by his brother out of jealousy.
The sculptor, Vincet Feugère des Forts, dedicated his entire artistic life to his sole passion: sculpture. He made his debut at the Salon in 1849 with his plaster Denier de la Veuve. This piece, The Death of Abel, is a very famous one which granted the sculptor the gold medal at the Salon in 1866.
Our figures are made by hand using high quality natural marble stone therefor each piece is unique and may slightly be different in shape and color.
