The Young Tarentine is a marble statue made by French sculptor Alexander Schoenewerk. His subject for the sculpture was a poem by Andre Chenier. It tells the story of a young, suffering bride.
This scultpure was first exhibited in Luxembourg, before being moved to the Louvre and eventually to the Musee D’Orsay in Paris, France.
